At a special NAIDOC Assembly, Citizenship Medallions were presented, Percy Simon cut the NAIDOC Cake, Uncle Len Leon gave a NAIDOC Address where he shared his story, and visitors were treated to a lunch of grilled mullet, sausages and salads.
Aaron Taylor, a local Worimi Boy, performed at Forster Public School as part of the NAIDOC celebrations. The school was treated to a Cultural Experience Day. Aaron played the didgeridoo, threw spears and boomerangs, told yarns and thrilled the students with his performances.
