As part of our School Development Day, Forster Public School Staff, were fortunate enough to experience a session on Aboriginal Cultural Awareness. Jamie Donovan (an Indigenous Service Officer), delivered presentations on topics such as; Living Standards; Aboriginal History in our local area, Aboriginal Culture and passing stories down from generation to generation through songs, dance and art, as well as touching on key points, such as Past Government Policies, Health issues, Employment concerns as well as considering topics such as Education, Health and Housing.
The day was very successful and appreciated by all staff.
