During the first few weeks of this term Kindergarten students at Forster Public School were very lucky to be helped, guided and supported by their Primary Buddies. Students from Grades 3 to 6 were assigned a buddy and would give up their time every recess and lunch to help our new Kindergarten students. They helped the Kindergarten children with their new routines, expectations and to help familiarise them with their new environment. It was very special to see the Primary students fulfill this role in such a caring and admirable way. Many of the Buddies will become friends for life. As a way of thanking the older children the Kindergarten students threw a party. Food and laughter was shared and the primary school students can return to their normal routines in the knowledge that our 'Kindies' are off to a fantastic start thanks to their efforts.
