This year's team is a Knockout itself with Elise and Gemma, two of this year's team members who played for the Hunter Team at the State Carnival in Sydney recently. Two boys narrowly missed out being selected to represent the Zone at the Hunter Trials and they were Lachlan and Patrick.
The team members this year are the Elise and Gemma, Lachlan and Patrick and four other great players -Laia, Ashleigh , Lleyton and Mitchell a team of eight players ranging from Year 4 to Year 6.
It's a long time since there was a brother and sister combination in the tennis team -not since the Bullivants and Henrys who won two State Titles in the Victor J Kelly Knockout back in 1994 and 1996 -this could be the year. Previously the tennis team has been to the State Finals Day nine times.
They are now in the Hunter Finals after defeating Tinonee, Bulahdelah and Scone Public Schools without losing a set. With their coach and manager Mrs Henry retiring this year you never know what might happen. The Tennis Team will give it their best shot as always.
